During Science week the whole school participated in many scientific investigations - Each class had an investigation to carry out and this enabled the children to develop their skills of prediction and hypothesis which promoted and enabled Scientific enquiry relating to either every day scientific concepts; this helped promote both curiosity and enjoyment. Nursery and Reception looked at the science behind bubbles and enjoyed blowing and investigating the properties of bubbles; they had great fun! Some Reception children noticed changes and chemical reactions when combining food colouring to milk. Year One and Year Two all had their own investigations to carry out and both scientific enquiry and lots of fun was had by all. Please ask your child to tell you what they did in Science Week.
Reception children are looking forward to a trip to the Science Museum in May so watch this space for more budding scientists this Summer!
